Senior Marketing Manager & Project Manager IT, 2009 - 2012


During my time at logistics company SAT Albatros I was responsible for both the marketing division and the IT department. Among the first tasks were coming up with a concept for a new website as well as doing both creative direction and project management for its creation. I wrote all the texts and later became in charge of writing (and translating) the monthly newsletter along official announcements.

I soon began supporting the sales agents with presentations for their customers. A Twitter feed was created and hooked up to the website which had also been made available for mobile devices. I designed ads myself and did creative direction for a general service summary as well as the redesign of the monthly Sea-Air Schedule. I made sure internal presentations looked decent as well.

As Project Manager for IT developments my responsibilities included the design and specification of additional features for the company's web-based operating system as well as improving the functionality of existing tools. In my weekly meetings with the (outsourced) IT department we discussed possible solutions in order to improve supply chain management / customer relation management and support the operations, administration, and sales divisions.

I've setup the so-called TEAM SITE which functions as an internal knowlege base and provides SAT team members with useful information and material such as templates for presentations, design styleguides, and official documents. I've also created a filesharing tool and tutorial videos / screencasts explaining functions of the operating system and supported the staff in troubleshooting.

During my time at SAT Albatros I also worked as a consultant for the Product Manager and the MD.
